Drone Company in Miami

Founded 2013. Full aerial toolkit from cinema-payload multirotors to FPV. $5M aviation liability policy on file.

A shoot that crosses the causeway crosses a permitting jurisdiction: Miami Beach runs its own process separate from Miami-Dade, with its own rules for aerial work. A drone company that treats South Florida as one permit area will get a unit stopped.

CineDrones has been a working aerial department since 2013, with the depth to put multiple units on a show and the insurance and permitting infrastructure a studio production office needs before it can hire you at all. We handle it end to end: airspace authorization, permits, the shoot itself, and delivery in whatever format post is expecting.

Permits and authorizations in Miami

Miami-Dade coordinates county film permitting, and the City of Miami Beach runs its own separate process with its own rules for aerial work. A shoot that crosses the causeway crosses a permitting jurisdiction.

Flying Miami

Miami International anchors Class B across the metro, with Fort Lauderdale and Opa-locka adding their own airspace to the north. The beach corridor everyone wants sits under the busiest of it. Add hurricane-season temporary restrictions and a marine layer that moves fast, and the planning window here is genuinely shorter than producers expect.

We shoot South Beach, the causeways, Brickell, and the water — and we travel. CineDrones works nationwide, so if your production is basing in Miami and shooting somewhere else entirely, that is a normal week for us.

What a Miami booking includes

  • Multiple units available for shows that need them
  • Studio vendor packet and $5M aviation liability on file
  • Airspace authorization and permit coordination
  • Pre-production scout and shot planning with your DP
  • Delivery in the format your post pipeline expects

A full toolkit rather than one aircraft: cinema payloads, FPV, heavy lift, prop and stunt builds, and aerial lighting.

Drone Company in Miami — questions we get

What makes a drone company studio-approved?

It is a procurement process, not a creative one. Risk management reviews your insurance, safety record and operating procedures before a production office is allowed to hire you. We have been through it with the majors since 2013.

Can you put more than one unit on a show in Miami?

Yes. Multi-unit days are normal for us, and having a second aircraft on standby is often cheaper than losing an hour to a battery swap or a downed aircraft.

What insurance do you carry?

A $5M aviation liability policy, with certificates issued to the production naming whoever your legal department needs named. That is usually the first question a UPM asks and the one that ends most conversations with smaller vendors.
