Yes. CineDrones pilots hold FAA Part 107 certification for motion picture, television and closed-set filming, and are licensed to operate in the national airspace. FAA permits are secured before every shoot.
CineDrones carries a $5 million general liability aviation insurance policy plus workers compensation, which exceeds the requirements of the major studios and is the baseline most studios, locations and venues ask for.
Yes. CineDrones provides both Local 600 union and non-union crews, and the team includes veteran Local 600 cinematographers alongside professional pilots, camera operators and drone technicians.
CineDrones does. The team completes drone waivers and permit paperwork with the FAA and with local airspace authorities, and coordinates submissions with the relevant film permit offices so productions do not have to manage that process themselves.
The fleet includes the Freefly Alta X heavy-lift cinema drone for full-size cinema cameras such as the RED and ALEXA Mini, the DJI Inspire 2 with the Super 35 X7 camera, and the DJI Inspire 3 shooting 8K full-frame with swappable DL-mount lenses. Ground support includes the handheld MoVI Pro stabilizer, the TeroCar low-angle camera car, the BlackArm hard-mounted gimbal system and a self-contained Cinevan production vehicle.
